How do I change the color of my folders? I've also seen people with more than just the volume control and Apple script icon on the top bar. How do I get stuff up there?

Changing the color of the actual folder is actually changng the icon.. changing the color of the label is a matter or right clicking (ctrl clicking on a one button mouse) and selecting label color...

the things in the menu bar are actually differen programs such as adium, or menu meters
