Does iWeb website creation only work with .mac accounts or can I save it as an HTML or something and put it on a free host?

I was kinda bummed to find this out. It is one of those "small prints" they don't tell you about. I pulled my new iMac out of the box and when I was messing around with iWeb and to proceed I needed the .Mac account. I am still considering on buying or not.

iWeb is a very "special" program, very usefull if you need a fast webpage and even better if you don't know much about HTML. Things get a bit mesy when you try to make something different from the Templates.
