Can't restor iPad 2 to factory settings

I can't seem to erase my iPad 2 completely. I have gone through the reset and erase all content routines several time, but there is still data in my photographs file, my contacts file, and my iTunes purchases (although it is only 1 DVD that I bought last year).

Can anyone recommend a way to get this iPad back to it's original condition?

Did you disconnect it from your iCloud account?

If not it will reload all your stuff.

Today, I just received a new iPad Air 2 in the mail - have it already set to go - but now my old iPad 2 needs to be sold or given away, so have completely removed its iCloud attachments - will wait a few days and then do an 'erase all contents & settings' - Dave
