"Invalid File Update"

Hi, For quite a while my iMac9,1 at start-up is showing "Invalid File Update"?
I understand there is a patch for problem? Help Please.

Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 6 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz

If there is a patch, it would be a part of an OS X update.
What OS X version do you have?

Can you be more specific? Where are you seeing this? Is it saying this in relation to anything else? What did you do with your computer right before this started appearing?
