I'm looking for a Macbook pro that I can use for college/uni. I am an art and design student so I will need to use programs like photoshop and illustrator. I found this account on ebay immaculate_laptops on eBay and wondered what anyone thinks of this seller. I don't quite understand how they can include the whole (apparently registered) adobe master collection and microsoft programs?
I don't know whether this is a good buy as I will be spending way over £1000 if I want specific programs on a new macbook pro.

Can anyone help?

(This will also be my first time buying a mac)

I can't speak for the seller or his eBay reputation, however, we always warn prospective buyers of a used Mac that any registered software that is included with the sale will not legally be theirs. Unless of course the seller gives you the original disks and serial numbers.
In other words, be very careful when you buy as sellers love to inflate the cost saying that certain software is included.

Like chscag suggest you beware. Most sellers are pirating the software. No discs and no activation codes mean it is pirated and worthless, but you pay for it.

I would also check with the college you will be attending. Adobe has agreements with a lot of them for students. Some will offer significant discounts and others will offer it for free to students. I took a class at a local university on using Photoshop. I was allowed to download the whole Design and Web CS6 for free and they provided a valid license.

The other problems with purchasing already installed software is if you ever have to reinstall your OS X you will lose your "free" software - unless you have a Time Machine or some other backup. And the whole no license issue.
