I have 10.6.8 on Mac HD drive and I upgraded my cloned boot drive on disk snowleopard-boot2 to mavericks 10.9.5.
question 1) when I boot to maverick finders shows mac hd drive and not SL-boot2. Is the boot drive name Macintosh HD for all boot drives?
Can I change the name of the boot drive to show in finders?

question 2) in the user home folders the folder library is not in the list as it was before.
Was there a design change in OSX after snow leopard not to use library or is it hidden?

Library is hidden. To get to it hold down Option and select the Go menu in Finder.

New info - another solution- Thanks Cradom

1) Thanks Cradom that works!
I also found I can permanently display library folder.

High lite the Your home name in finders and under View-Show View Options at the bottom of the list is a check box to Show the library folder.

2) The device showing question in finders I found the answer.
Under finders preferences the list of devices to display wasn't showing all disk.
I changed it to show all disk and removed Macintosh HD from the sidebar.
Now correct drives for each OSX Boot are shown.

Thanks everyone.!
