Date Modified: Tomorrow

I uploaded some .jpgs from my camera to my macbook this evening and in the Date Modified column it said "tomorrow" at an hour that was about 22 hours in the future. Also, when I registered and signed into this forum (for the first time about 10 minutes ago) I noticed that a comment in the upper right hand corner said that the last time I logged in was at 8AM today. So far it is only 1:30 AM today so 8AM is in the future. I recently upgraded to Yosemite and I wondered if that could have anything to do with it? I have never seen anything like that before. It seemed strange.

If you System Preferences > Date & Time > Time Zone, is your Mac set to the correct time zone? It sounds as if your Mac is "ahead" in time.

Or the camera was set ahead in time, hence showing tomorrow on the Mac.

Related to the forum - the forum uses GMT by default unless you change your preference to your own time zone. If you have not done so, it definitely will indicate some time other than your own for all times shown on the site.

Thank you VANSMITH for that idea. I went into the system preferences and checked on that. My date, time and zone are already on the correct settings. So there is still some kind of mystery.

Additionally, the clock on the toolbar has always posted the correct time / date. It was just in the Date Modified column in the Download folder that the modification time was showing for "tomorrow."

Thank you Bobtomay. I didn't think of my camera. I have NEVER intentionally messed with or set the date and time in the camera, but maybe I did that unintentionally as I am a bit of a techie klutz.

As far as setting time zone preferences in the forum - how would I go about setting that?

All your preferences for the forum are set in the UserCP (Control Panel) link at the top of every page. Setting your time zone is in the 'Edit Options' section.

I believe one sets the time from the: User CP (top of the page) -> Edit Options -> Date & Time Options area.
