How to re-import video to iMovie - help

After mostly downloading video into iMovie the cable between my video camera and computer was disconnected. I then mistakenly (don't ask) deleted the video from iMovie 10. Now I'm trying to download again but it appears the computer is recognizing it as downloaded already...and won't let me download. Any advice?

Are you sure you deleted the video? If iMovie thinks it's already imported, it may still be there somewhere. I'm assuming you know enough to check your Trash. Also, it sounds like you did not import the entire video before the cable was disconnected.
