I am getten a external HD sometime soon, probably a 120gb WD or something similar. I was wondering if I need to have it in the OS X file system, or could I use NTFS, so I could share it with my windows machine as well, it's not a must, but it would be nice for transferring big files or something.
Anyway, thanx for the help.

it needs to be HFS+ .. Mac OS can read FAT32, but not NTFS

for file transferring, youre best off with using networking. Read This if you wanna share it as an external drive
