Hey all,

I just bought a 2014 macbook pro 13" and have been busy installing everything I need (including upgrading to Yosemite).

One thing I have noticed though is that when I open the disk storage it shows the audio as being 61.85gb. But when I inspect my music folder it's only 27.74gb.

Why the big difference?

I only have a 128gb disk so I'm keen to save as much space as possible.

Have you emptied the trash recently? Until you do, it's not free space. Also you can run a Verify disk from Disk Utility. Better yet, get Onyx and let it do the maintenance and checks.
