Hello,
I am interested in clean installing OS X tiger on my very old macbook. Do I need a key to do so or is it like mavericks and it will just install?
Thank you,
Adam

What you need is/are the proper install disk/disks for OS 10.4 Tiger (Tiger came in a multi-CD set, or DVD). There is no "key" like windows install disks…never has been.

And you will need version OS X.4.6 at the earliest. Some Tiger install disks were for PowerPC. You need an Intel set of that version, or later.
