Imac i5 issues

can anybody help me on this after reformatting my imac this came out

my late model 2010 imac 15 constantly has this spinning ball icon every time i click on an app or logging in please help

Do you have the original install recovery disk set that came with your 2010 iMac? Probably Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.X? Boot the iMac with the disk and then run Disk Utility from Utilities on the disk and do a verify of the hard drive. Let us know the results.

it started when i got it it was updated to mavericks the when i log in it asked for the login password but the owner lost his password so i reformatted it then the spinning ball keeps comming in every time i click on an app icon or log in
