Hello all, long time lurker and finally have an issue and decided to register.

Details:
MBP 15" Early 2011
Mavericks

Background:
Last weekend, I had my phone connected via USB, and then the MBP suddenly shut off. I tried messing with it then, and kept getting a kernal panic message. I left it alone for a week, and have been getting the same thing today. I'm assuming it's related to the OS . I've tried both Mavericks cmd+r and booting from Snow Leopard disk to no avail. It says my HD is unmounted and can't be repaired.

What I've tried in addition to the above:
SMC reset
PRAM reset
Safe Mode (holding shift) does not work (get the kernal panic script)

So now, I'm pulling my hair and asking the experts here on what I should do next...or if it is just time to head to the Apple Store.

Related pics if it helps:

Hopefully you've been making backups? It's telling you that your hard drive is toast and needs to be replaced. Those errors can not be corrected.

And Welcome to the Mac Forums!
