Since Yosemite installation, my iMac will not wake from sleep. Just get a blue screen and have to physically turn off computer. Then, I get a message saying I shut down computer due to a problem but it does not tell me what was opened at that time and has caused the problem.

Try resetting the System Management Controller: Shut down your iMac, and remove the AC plug from the outlet. Let it set for 10 minutes. Start it up and reset the PRAM at the same time. The Apple article says that it's for Mavericks but it's the same for Yosemite.

Seems to have sorted itself out without trying that, but thanks. I tried to make sure I turned off everything that was opened. However, is there an easy way to check which items are open in the background?
