My 3 yr old 17" MacBook Pro died this summer and was forced to replace it with a 13" MacBook Pro; however, when I try using iPhoto it says the library file is missing. Best Buy had copied all the files they could. i'm out of luck and have to create a new one or could there be a old file somewhere that could work? please help... Thx

Do you still have the 17" MacBook Pro? If you do, remove the hard drive from it and place it in a USB external SATA carrier, attach it to your new MacBook Pro, and see if you can copy what you need from it. Your iPhoto library should be listed directly under your user name in the "Pictures" folder.
