Still using Mavericks and Mail 7.3. Sometimes when I send an email, Mail will send the email but also add it into the Drafts folder as if it was never sent. Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it always makes me wonder if it really did get sent.

Any ideas why Mail does this? And no, I'm not interested in using a different email program. It works great other than this deal.

Same here. It always gets sent. Tried all kinds of fixes. Ended up ignoring it, often eventually clears itself. Annoying.

Same here. I often think maybe I failed to send it the first time, resend, and discover in the Send folder I sent it twice. No one has ever been able to explain it. More annoying than problem though.

Had that problem until I updated to 10.10.2 with Mail 8.2 now it is no longer an issue.

Yes the problems that 10.10.1 introduced seems to have been fixed for me and my friends with 10.10.2.
The Mac's involved ranged anywhere from 2009 to 2013 without issue on the 10.10.2 update.
