Earthlink and Apple?

I was on apple.com and was looking at the macbook pro under the hardware section ( :biohazard ). Well if you scroll down and look to the right under internet service it says earthlink and under that it says "It’s the Mac-friendly way to cruise the Internet. Get EarthLink Broadband with speeds up to 50 times faster than dial-up."

So what's so special about Earthlink Broadband and Mac's?
I was going to get roadrunner but since time warner cable owns both RR and Earthlink I thought I'd ask why apple "endorses" earthlink and if there is an actual benefit to having it.

I dont know, my guess is that because its the only big company that offers protection from everything just as it does for windows.

As a former EarthLink employee, I can tell you that EarthLink and Apple have had a business relationship for years. There is nothing special about the EarthLink service. It is just that both parties profit from the venture.

Ah, so I shouldn't expect any drastic improvement by going with earthlink. Guess I'll decide based on price now, lol. Thanks.
