Hi Everyone,
Our office recently bought Mac's and we are now bootcamping Windows 7. We are all regularly experiencing crashes.
Is this a glitch in bootcamp we will just have to deal with?
Is anyone else experience daily crashes using bootcamp?
Thanks.

question:

Which mac os x version are you using.

32/64 bit windows 7 (depends on errors)

how big of a hard drive partition

this will all effect how windows runs on a macintosh.

let me explain:

For windows 7 to run correctly on any mac you need.

120 gig or better partition on the macintosh in question.

4 gig's or better of ram

the latest bootcamp drivers for windows which you get from apple

and most but not least a service pack 1 windows 7 disk because you cannot install service packs in windows 7 without a new install of windows its a old bug that has always been there in boot camp.

Now for windows versions.

in windows 7 if you have a i5 or a i7 processor on your macintosh you need a 64 bit version of windows 7 or it will constantly crash.

Thank you for your prompt response :)

I am not sure which mac operating system we have. The mac is the newest one, if that helps.
We are using the windows 7 service pack 1 64 bit with all the latest patches installed, also the latest version of bootcamp drivers are loaded. According to our IT people we meet or exceed all the requirements for the software and yet crashes happen every day :(

Its seems a bit of a mystery! but a very annoying one at that.

Thank you again for your help!
