Find configuration with serial number?

two year old Mac Book Pro, dies from water, need to find out it's configuration so I can compare shopping for a refurb, or have this repaired.
Where can I enter the serial number and find out this machines configurations? Thanks

I know I added the memory up to 512 GB, I goes I can assume it was 8 GB ram, not sure of the processor from then.

OK I did a search for a configuration of a late 2012 Retina Mac Book Pro….this gives me a fighting chance to see what it takes to repeat this. Thanks for your help!

As you mentioned if the storage was custom configured with 512gig and if the 8gig of ram was custom...then these won't be part of the standard stock configuration. But everything else should be the same.

Thanks for your help. I have a number of similar Mac a Books on Ebay sell with water damage. Looks like $200 to over $500 on the bidding. With the retina screen and 512 gb flash drive, could I hope to get near the $500 range by selling it?
Would lie to sell and start over, just trying to get some numbers lined up. Thanks again.
