Dual channel ram?

MacBook 2009, iPad mini
Hello

I have a Macbook Early 2009
It has 1 pc 1GB RAM and 1 4GB RAM. Total 5Gb.
Would it be better with 2 2GB? So it run Dual channel.

As you already have a 4GB stick, it would run best with another 4GB stick.

The gain from "dual channel" (if that even applies to your machine, I'm not sure it does) would be marginal.
