Hi all
I hope this message finds you all in good shape.
I'm Rocco, 26, from Italy, and I'm experiencing what I discovered is a common problem.
My MacBookPro is very slow, and it takes up to 15 minutes to boot.
I thought it was a matter of failing hard drive, but the SMAT utility demo said the test has been "passed" with 0 corrupted or re-allocaded space. So...it must be some sort of software issue
I made my MacBook Pro undergo some routine mantainance. I:
-repaired the disc from recovery partition
-zapped NVRAM
-made SMC to reset
-repaired permissions
-made frequents reboots and sleep-and-wake cicrles
but nothing helped.
So I checked my Activity Monitor just to find out some "system" activity (pictured red in my Activity Monitor) frequently exceeds CPU activity.
During severe beachballing, even Activity Monitor freezes, so I cannot be sure kernel_tasks is the problem. Here is my EtreCheck log. I hope someone will help.
Thanks in advance

Hello Rocco: Welcome to the Mac Forums.

All the symptoms you describe can be attributed to a failing hard drive. Sometimes Disk Utility and SMART will report everything is OK but it's not. Why don't you try this:

Startup in SAFE boot mode. Hold down your shift key to restart and let's see what happens. If the same symptoms occur in safe boot mode, that usually points to bad hardware. In the meantime our advice is to backup your data as soon as you can.
