How to edit app folder?

I seem to have odd files and copies of programs in my app folder. Is there any way to edit what is in there? I have tried right clicking-nothing. I have tried to drag it out and delete but it just places a copy on my desktop.

Is there any way to edit the program shortcuts and assorted files in my app folder? Dare I say orphaned files and shortcuts?

There should be nothing -- at all -- in your Applications folder other than applications. Anything else you can just move to the trash.

I don't know how all those .pdf's, folders with just docs in it, copy of appcleaner app, etc ever got in there. Ok great. Deleted. Thanks.

Check your browser prefs, where is it set to download to?
