I have been trying to transition from Imovie 9.0.9 to 10.0.5. The new version is different in many ways and I am not sure I like it. However, the full event library and projects are not updating completely from ver 9 to ver 10. I get most of the files but some stuff is missing. If I create a new project in 9.0.9 it will not update into 10.0.5. Will Yosemite fix these issues? Any other help???

Having done the same, AFAIK, iMovie 10 will only update/import from iMovie 9.0.9 the first time that you use iMovie10. So, if you create a subsequent Project in 9.0.9, it won't be imported into iMovie10.
