I have an iMac running OS 10.6.8 - it has developed a one pixel wide vertical red line in the display, about 25% from the left side.

Anyone know anything about this?

Attach an external monitor or TV to your iMac (you'll need the proper cable and adapter) to see if the red line shows up there. If it does, then the problem is being created by the graphics processor in your iMac. (GPU) If no red line shows up, then the problem is with the display on the iMac.

Definitely give what chscag suggested a try.:)

Otherwise...if this is an older "white" Intel iMac from say 2006-2007...display/graphics issues were not uncommon (in other words they were common);)....especially as they get older.

Thanks - I guess I will just let it go until it gets worse, then replace it if it gets bad enough to really bother me.
