is it possible to retrieve images or chats from wechat / whatsapp, from an iphone5s?

even if the apps have been deleted. no icloud or backup made. l heard for eg, if things are deleted from a hard drive they can be retrieved, is this possible with those apps even though the app and the images or chats have been deleted.

That is correct. There is software available which can retrieve data that has been deleted from your hard drive. Federal agencies such as the FBI and NSA can forensically extract data from a hard drive even after the drive has been overwritten many times. They can do the same thing with your iPhone.

hmmm, are there businesses which do this too, l am not living in US. could Apple do this for you at a cost?

Yes, there are commercial businesses which specialize in recovering lost data. However, they are very expensive to use. Since you're not in the US, I can't give you an idea of cost but here in the US it can cost as much as $1000.00 to recover data. And no, Apple does not forensically recover data. They will refer you to a commercial business which specializes in that type of recovery.

As I know some recovery tool can recover data from iPhone.
