I have to use the Keyboard Viewer to communicate. How do I get all the keyboard back? The main problem is not being able to type the letters.

Thank you. Didn't realize I needed all the info for my late 2013 iMac I finally got the keyboard working... Don't know what I did but It is now working OK.
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac14,2
Processor Name: Intel Core i5
Processor Speed: 3.4 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 16 GB
Boot ROM Version: IM142.0118.B02
SMC Version (system): 2.15f2

Another question maybe you can help me with: I used to be able to click on the icon of the window or file name I wanted to open. Now I have to "right click" on the window or icon and select "Open" to select the file. Is that a change or is there a way to get it back so all I have to do to open a file is to click on it?

Thank you for your help.

Your Mac's Specs
21 M1 Pro 14" MBP, 23 M2 Pro Mac Mini (MacOS 14), iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 17), iPad 6 (iPadOS 17)
where are you trying to open them from?

From Finder, a double click is needed, from the dock it should just be one
