I recently bought OSX server from Apple version 3.2.1 on my MacBook Pro running OSX Mavericks version 10.9.5. When I tried connecting another MacBook Pro (running the same OSX version), it connected, but when we tried shutting down the other Mac (not host Mac), it would not not shut down. It just stayed on the shut down screen with the spinning wheel spinning very slowly. Also, on the host MacBook Pro "About This Mac" will not open.

Please Help.
Thank You,
CalmKai

I suspect by now, you manually turned the computer off.

probably there was a file open or not properly closed between the mbp and the server
