Lightening SD & USB adaptors.

What will these let me do?

Can I plug a camera card straight in to ipad and transfer photos?

Will the USB adaptor let me connect my western digital hard drive and transfer photos?

In short, which one offers me more options?

The descriptions on the Apple Store seem pretty straightforward to me:

For the SD Lightning adapter, the page plainly states that it will allow you to copy photos and videos from an SD camera card into the Photos app on your iPad.

The USB version does the exact same thing, only using the USB port so that the camera can be connected directly.

It doesn't appear to work with most other USB type devices. It's designed and intended to interact only with cameras.
