hey guys, While surfing the web a few moments ago researching on some Conan comic stuff i suddenly encountered the 'Police ATTENTION browser blocker malware/virus that locked safari. a few years ago this killed an old PC of mine so i panicked, i force quit safari and loaded a time machine back up from a few hours ago. my question is, When my PC was infected no matter what i did the browser wouldn't unblock, however safari on my mac is now fine. is my Mac infected? or has the fact safari isn't blocked anymore mean its gone? and my panic is over?

I think that it's probably just a "pop-up". I've run into this sort of thing from time to time. But I just clicked the window closed (without clicking on anything in the window itself)…and continued on with no ill effects.

But let's see what other folks say as well.:)
