How do I uninstall programs with OS X? I have Unreal Tournament 2004 installed and there is no "Uninstall" icon or anything - just the startup icon. How do I get rid of the program entirely?

All you do to get rid of a program is take it and put it in the trash can. Its that Easy.

There are files left behind in the prefernces and there are recipts left behind as well, but you can leave those as they do not take up space.. if you want to delete them you can run a spot light search. They are located in the library folder.

Doesn't it depend on the application?

In my experience there are various methods of uninstalling

1. Trash the app
2. Run an uninstaller that came with the app(ie, speed download)
3. Run an uninstaller that's included inside the apps installer(this is lame).
4. Select uninstall from the help menu

Most apps are trash and be done with it.. there are some apps however in which I forgot to discuss that you come with an uninstaller, norton is one of those applications and other applications that work with in the computers system. If you install it with an installer then it might need an uninstaller but not always, If you do not have an installer then it willl not need an uninstaller. Thank you for catching my mistake.
