Hi Forum,
I have an odd one for you all. I've noticed in the last couple of week that randomly - and not at log-in, Safari will open in the dock and immediately hide itself. No window appears, just the icon in the dock, greyed out. I don't have Safari set to open at log in.
It's got me thinking, and perhaps a little worried that I've got something malicious hiding in my system.
Any thoughts?
All the best... looking forward to hearing your ideas!

Did you try pressing Command plus H to toggle the "Hide Safari" option?

Something is triggering it then. I had Calendar set to send out email reminders and it was opening Mail on me (I didn't use Mail at the time so I was thoroughly confused).

What apps do you have open when this happens?

Generally I have Illustrator, Mail and Sublime Text running. Occasionally an FTP client.
