Hello, I hope someone can help with a workaround for this new "feature."
I have 2 iPads. One is a year or so old and still on iOS 6x. The second one was just purchased today. I use my iPad for Personal Hotspot connection to the Internet.
On the older iPad, I have a choice of using USB connection ONLY, which I always select when using Hotspot. One the new one, when choosing USB, it *automatically ALSO* connects to WiFi, making the device discoverable! Why would I want both if I want a secure hardwire connection. I do NOT want the device discoverable. Is there a workaround for this? I'm considering returning it and just keeping the older one if I'm forced to use USB AND Wifi, forcing discovery. What were they thinking?
Thanks.
