Overdrive Library System

I have been unable to download audio books from my local library using the Overdrive System. This has been easy using Windows but have problems with my new Macbook.

Your Mac's Specs
2017 27" iMac, 10.5" iPad Pro, iPhone 8, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, Numerous iPods, Monterey
First, have you downloaded the latest Overdrive app for your Mac? And is it compatible with the current version of OS X that your new MacBook Pro is running? Assuming your new MacBook Pro is running Mavericks.

(I went to the Overdrive site but could not find system requirements for Mac OS X.)

And please include your Mac specs (year and model) and what version of OS X it's running.
