How to add sounds to keyboard presses?

Howdy all, I'm wondering if there's a way for me to play a custom sound file every time I press a keyboard key? I know there are apps that do this to a degree, but they don't let you replace the sound that plays with your own sounds (at least not any i've seen).

Is there an app that does this? Do I have to go in the console, and if so, what do I do there?
