Phone Call From My Laptop

Is there a way to link my Android phone via Bluetooth or whatever to my MacBook Pro running the latest OSX? I would like to be able to go to Contacts on my laptop and click to make a call on my smartphone. Is there an app or instructions to do this?

My scenario is that my smartphone is the only phone number I have for both business and personal so it sit's there on my desk plugged in via usb recharging all day and when I need to make a call I pick up the phone and make a call. It would be cool to simply click on a contact name or even highlight a phone number and have it go to the smartphone without picking it up.

Assuming that phone is an iPhone, then check out Connect.

As my question notes, my phone is a Android. Samsung Note 3 running 4.4.3 to be exact.

Apparently this app works with Android phones as well, but it was tested and known to work with iPhones without any problems. It's a cheap enough app that you can perhaps try it and see..
