Maverick

Maverick is a fitting name. Downloaded 2007 I24 backup from idrive and have a real mess.
Problems are too many to list, but would welcome comment as to how to get Hp scan going again.

And what does "Downloaded 2007 I24 backup from idrive" mean? Was your last backup in 2007?

EDIT: Oh, and the name is actually Mavericks, with an "s" at the end.

ok, my frustration is obvious. My 2007 I 24 computer collapsed on me. Bought an I 27 Maverick(s). My only backup was the Idrive . There was a lot of incompatible stuff. Have been working to clear it up. A nightmare.
my only real question at the moment is how do we get the HP scan to work on the 10.9 system?

Do you mean by all the 'I' business a 27" iMac from 2007? That would be a little odd as the first 27" model came out in 2009. And Idrive as iMac hard drive? You should have been aware any PowerPC application you were running from 2007 is incompatible from OS X.7 Lion and onwards and HP printers do not like Macs.

For a computer pushing its eighth birthday may well have been better staying on Snow Leopard OS X.6.
