How do you format a flash drive

I'm using OSX 10.5.8 for PPC on a Powerbook G4 laptop. They work fine when I format them with FAT32 on my windows machine. Can I do the same on my Mac?

Yes you can, but be sure to choose format for MS DOS and do NOT use GUID. Otherwise Disk Utility will create a small GUID like partition on the flash drive before formatting it as FAT-32. That will cause havoc when trying to use the flash drive on a PC.
