I just replaced the front screen on an Ipad 2. Now the screen isn't bright. I can see the icons if I shine a light on the screen but the image isn't bright enough to see. I'd welcome any suggestions as to the cause for this

Did you connect all of the cables for the screen? You might have missed the backlight one that provides the brightness..

I connected both cables. The front screen and the lighted screen. Those were the only 2 I had disconnected.

Welcome to the forum! :) I'm assuming that you likely used a guide from iFixit? If so, just go over the steps again to be sure all was done and reconnected correctly - if you've already gone through the process, then sorry!

Another suggestion that I'm sure you've already checked is the 'Brightness' adjustment in Settings or on the Control Center, if running the most recent iOS? Good luck - Dave
