Start up message box

Ever since I upgraded to Mavericks, on start up , I get a message box that says "the disc you inserted is not readable on this computer."
I have never inserted a disc, and each time I start I press either "ignore" or " eject" but it continues to appear.
How can I rid my mac from this nuisance.
