Erase and Install

Having somehow got Adware and malware on my Macbook Pro will this be erased when I do an "Erase and Install"

Erase and install should remove that but might be overkill. There are some adware removal tools that do not require erase and install.

Here is one you might try first. Also any applications such as Mackeeper, CleanMyMac, MacDeTox etc installed?

When all is well download Adblock and Ghostery.
