Keyboard switching

Soo, when I start up my macpro, the keyboard that is bluetooth attached to my iMac, switches to the macpro laptop. I've tried to reconnect and the only way I can get it to go back is to reboot the iMac with the macpro off. Thanks in advance for any advice, I really need these two machines to work side by side.
