My iPad 2 used to charge to 100% overnight whatever the start % but now it is lucky if it gets to 40%. Have swapped over charging leads and cleaned connections but no improvement. Also done a reset....still no joy. Any other ideas greatly welcomed. Thanks

How many times have you charged and re-charged it since you've owned it? The battery inside your iPad may be getting weak. The battery does not last forever and eventually will have to be replaced.

Been recharged countless number of times over three years. Is it possible to replace an iPad battery? For some reason I seemed to think they were sealed units

The internal battery in your iPad can be changed. Let me see if I can get you a price for the battery change out: Apple wants $99.00 to replace the battery which I think is too high. Let me see if we can find something else....

I just checked with the ifixit site and they say replacing the battery yourself is very difficult, so it looks like you might have no choice. Anyway, I'll let you decide.

Do a Google search on: "Replacing the battery in an iPad 2" It should bring up lots of hits for you to look at. Good luck.
