I remember someone else bringing this up before, but its been about a year.

Now I know the About This Mac is not the best place to check how much space /storage your using. But anyway my SSD is 256GB, it claims I have 115GB free. This is just impossible..
I have about 22GB in apps, and less then that in Audio/Movie/Photos on my SSD. But its claiming I got 98GB in OTHER files. But when I check all the space in my home folder it only shows about 30ish GB of space being used. Now if I right click on my home folder it claims I have used 61.15GB.. Which is still way more then it should be..

I am trying to clean house here to make more room for Final Cut Pro file editing, and have tried cleaning all the cache folder.. But having a real hard time pinpointing were all this "other" files are.. I moved all my documents and such over to my HDDs.

Isnt there another program that can give me a better idea of my storage...

Thanks everyone in advance..

DaisyDisk is what you're looking for here. Give that a whirl and see what it reports back.

There is much more to your computer than the user directory. A lot of that "other" may very well occupy locations outside of /Users.

Indeed.. Installed the application.. I like how it lets me break down the file system to see where everything is being cluttered up.. I manged to free up about 50GB more, though 16 of that was Diablo III and 25GB was an untitled file in Final Cut.. But few things like twitter and few others had some large cache files..

I got 165GB free now..

I may end up converting these two drives over into a fusion array..

Thanks Van for help..
