I have a MacBook Pro with OS 10.9.4. In a Finder window, I have selected (highlighted) a dozen folders. How can I have the Mac tell me the total size of the twelve? At the bottom of the window is “12 of 57 selected, 697GB available”. I take that to mean that with that knowledge I can calculate the total used by all folders on the hard drive, but not the total of the twelve selected folders. If I right-click one of the selected folders and choose “Get Info”, twelve windows open showing me the size of each folder, which I can then add up to reach the total of the selected twelve. But that seems a cumbersome method. Is there a way to have the Mac do the math for me, and tell me the total size of the twelve selected folders? Thank you.
