MacBook Air Storage Issues

Hi everyone, I have a question.

My macbook air seems to be running out of space because of "apps," but I don't have any additional apps installed. I use this computer mostly for travel, so I'm trying to keep it light in terms of storage. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can ID which apps are taking all the space? I use the "about this mac" function, click on "more info," then "storage," and it shows a huge section being given to apps.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks guys,

Brad

Something doesn't make sense here. Your MacBook Air has 120gig of total storage…but the "apps" amount in the "About This Mac" says 327gig.

If the total storage is 120gig…how can "apps" be taking up 327gig (almost 3x the total capacity of the drive)??

Something doesn't make sense.

I agree - something isn't right here. I use a time capsule, so maybe that has something to do with it? Does anyone know of a place I can look for more detail relating to the space?
