I wanted to free up space on my Macbook Pro and delete photos / movies. I have successfully backed up / copied the libraries to an enternal hard drive (and confirmed everything is there). When I looked up deleting photos, I came across postings that FB photos would be deleted, too. Is there a way to "find" FB photos (mine are included in several "events") so I can put them in separate "event" for now (and future) and then delete the rest?

Not sure if this will help, but all your FB albums are shown under 'Shared' in the sidebar menu in iPhoto. It goes... Library, Recent then Shared.
