How is exFat's current situation in OSX?

Hi!

I have a drive exclusively for sharing ONLY data between OSX and Bootcamp Windows.

I really wanted to use exFat to make things simple but as I was doing my research I stumbled upon several reports of issues, crashes, corruption, etc when using exFat in OSX.

Is that still happening? Could those be caused by hardware itself rather then exFat? Maybe apple release some fixes already?

I'll be storing important files, work-related stuff.

What do you guys, think, should I stick with NTFS?

Have a look at Paragon Software's NTFS for Mac OS X. Apple still uses Mac OS Extended (Journaled) known as HFS and still not NTFS:-

What kinds of issues? Apple has supported exFAT since 10.6.5 so I imagine that if you're reading older stuff, you might have the impression that support was rough in its beginnings.
