I had some very old EXE Thumbs files on my Mac Pro, which I dragged to my trash and tried to throw away. My Mac would NOT let me toss anything from my trash can and returned a dialog that said...

"The Operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code - 8003).

Years ago, one could easily get rid of "locked files" by simply holding down some special keys when dumping the contents of the trash. I tried all combinations of this with zero benefits.
