I have 3 epson printers and a macbook. All working fine yesterday. Today not one of the printers works. Print utility says communication error. Print dialog box says sending data to printer, or just printing (on all three). It just never prints. I have turned everything off and on, and I have deleted and reinstalled the printers. What else could it possibly be? Thank you!!!:\

Not enough information provided in order to properly answer your question. A guess would be if all three printers are attached via USB, a USB hub, or a print server, that's where I would start trouble shooting.

thanks

that makes sense. and it doesn't seem to matter which of the two usb ports the printers are plugged into. the printers are recognized in the printer utility window.

Could my usb ports just stop working, at the same time?

Do the printers appear in System Preferences > Printers and Scanners? Next step try running Repair Permissions from within Disk Utility.
