MAC Programming Language

I am a Visual Basic Programer for the PC side of things, but I would like to find out if there is something equlivent to VB2010 for the MAC and iPad.
I work with custom made programs and databases as small as MS-Access and as large as SQL2012 Server.

You could use the Mono framework to create OS X and iOS apps in .NET.
